![]() ![]() When Volvo announced its intention to use the four-cylinder, 5.1-litre D5K engine for both its Euro 6 double-decker chassis – conventional and hybrid – there was a collective intake of breath from the industry. Volvo’s B5TL was first to break cover, and the Wrightbus Gemini 3-bodied demonstrator on loan to Lothian Buses has been driven by Tim Deakin. The Euro 6 non-hybrid double-decker market is set to be a competitive one, with four chassis announced so far.
